A European Citizens’ Initiative is a process that encourages European citizens to engage in politics and raise their voices in favour of policies they want the European Union to implement.
Some member states require from their citizens that they insert their identity card number or passport number as a way to make their signatures official. Only your national government will have access to the data you insert in the official petition.
You can rest assured that your personal information will not be used outside of this initiative. We cannot access your data and we do not keep record of them.
If the proposed initiative collects 1 million signatures from EU citizens, the European Commission is invited to propose to EU legislators (Council of Ministers and European Parliament) a text based on our proposal.
